TAX FREE WEEKEND TEXAS is HERE

Scott Culberson wishes you a Happy backtoschool_thumb.jpg

Always on the look out for positive moments. I am excited for the new possibilities that lay ahead of students returning to school. I hope you have a wonderful year and live life to the Fullest.

It’s here…The Texas Tax free weekend–Friday August 9-Sunday August 11th.  So this means one of two things for ALL Texans.

1) they will shop and enjoy the discount of having no sales tax (not all items are eligible)

or

2) they will avoid ANY and all shopping areas.

It can be quite over whelming.  It’s not as bad as black Friday but the crowds can definitely affect your day.

Today, I popped into a local office supply store to get some ink.  On a normal day this is an in and out situation at 11:30 in the morning.  Not for day 1 of the tax free weekend.  I had to dodge shopping carts, unattended children, lost parents, sales people galore and then their was the line at the register.  There is never a line at the register on a “normal day”.

So until stores close on Sunday evening, be aware, be very aware IT’S TEXAS TAX FREE WEEKEND and next up……

it’s watch out for buses, bikes and school zones.

F.O.C.U.S.

It’s the 2nd week in April and so far the weather has been a little bumpy.  We have had the coldest April on records, rain, heat and pollen everywhere.

So, my message for this week is STAY THE COURSE or my favorite acronym:

                            F. OLLOW
                            O. NE
                            C. OURSE
                            U. NTIL
                            S. UCCESSFUL

This sums it up nicely.  If you want to stop renting and buy a home or your ready to sell your home to move closer to family.  Work or family challenges.  With any of these set your goal and F.O.C.U.S.

You may need a helping hand along the way.  Reach out to the resources that you know in order to make your dream a reality.  If it’s a real estate dream, any real estate dream call me 281-467-4691 I can help.  I know people all across the industry and the world.  People like me that have made it their mission to be their for your when you call.

What you don’t have a real estate goal at this time?  That’s ok, you know people that do so educate them on what it’s like to work with me ask if YOU can give me their contact information…I’ll give them a call.  From there I will help them evaluate their real estate goals and help them move from dream, to plan, to GOAL ACHIEVED.  NO PRESSURE, NO WORRIES JUST RESULTS THAT HELP YOU TO…

SPRING HAS SPRUNG 2019

Spring has sprung and if you’re pretty much anywhere in the great Houston area which is also known as the Piney Woods pollen is everywhere.  With this pollen we have been having some allergy problems and speaking of problems I heard they finally put out that oil tanker fire in Deer Park.

More importantly if you are in the market for a home this is a perfect time–homes are coming on the market, but they are also going off the market daily sooooo you need to get your game plan in place and get moving if you’re looking to buy a home.  If you are looking to sell your home, you’re not behind yet, but you will be if you wait a couple weeks.

It’s time to get you outside and do some planting, so your landscaping pops and you get that nice color.  Maybe a firecracker bush maybe some pansies, maybe some marigolds. I’m just throwing out some pretty color flowers.  I have no idea if spring is the right season for these plants. I don’t have a green thumb but I respect the hard work of those that do.   The point is BRING ON THE COLOR.

Let’s remember the front of your home is the first thing that buyers see so make that first impression count.  Buyers if you see the front of the home is beautifully taken care of odds are the inside has been taken care of as well.  Sellers, don’t forget that buyers DO look for the small details, the things that show them that you take care of your home.  They want your home to be their next home, take the time, put in the work and plant that spring COLOR.
